Handball Paradiso

We've got handball this afternoon! Yes! Another early departure from work again...Tehee! Were told that we'll be having a game against a group of people so thats something to look forward for. Hehe! I'm feeling anxious suddenly, anticipating this afternoon game, the excitement it offers, its just fucking awesome. I can get use to this feeling tho. Man! Time seems to fly so slow now. Heeee excited banar! I know I'm sad. Some of you will think that I am. Being excited by a mere activity of catching and throwing balls. But thats just me you see. I love playing with balls. Eh! I mean I love sports. Sports that involve balls. Hahaha! But I like playing badminton too and it doesn't involve balls so I'm safe. I'm normal!!! Yay!! Right Minx? ;)

Was thinking to start playing basketball again during my free afternoons..so at least it can help me brush up my handball-ing skills. Mingster, what say you? Or we can resume our swimming session to tone up our shoulders. How? Want? No? My afternoons are starting to fill up with different activities again, such as a long time ago. Where everyday except sunday, we always have some sports or training to do. Good ol' days.

Yes....handball soon!! So 21, you keep my secret I keep yours ok. Deal?

I need more...............

Trick or Treat....

Both senior and junior students are having my papers today *Heh heh heh!!* The seniors seems to cope well but I'm not too sure with the juniors though. But I've made the paper as easy as possible already. What more can I do if they refused to learn or at least to work hard for the exam. Anyways, watching the students sweating it all off in the exam makes my day already. Hehe baru kamu tahu! Jahat! Erkkksss........

Its my thank you to them really. So here it is, the breakdown of my Thank yous among the exam questions::
Question 1 is my THANK YOU for being a pain in my ...........
Question 2 is my THANK YOU for being nice once in a while (this would be the easy question)
Question 3 is my THANK YOU for being cheeky and adorable (this would be a cheeky and adorable question for them as well)
Question 4 is my THANK YOU for acting like a CHILD!! (this will make you cry!!)
Question 5 is my THANK YOU for being hard working
Question 6 is my THANK YOU for ermm...its just me being nice and giving you a very easy question.

List of Formulae is your belated ang pau for raya.

You are very welcome.

P/S: Please make my marking easier. Thank you

Status: Kaput

Physical tiredness is much more bearable than mental exhaustion. Its only 11am in the morning and I already feel like I've been awake for more than 24 hours. I'm done with one pile of reports so I have three to go. Will start marking the next one this afternoon. No use marking it now given how beat up I'm already with the last one. Besides, its not good to assess the reports with a consumed intellect. Furthermore, I don't wanna start marking some of them and continue with the rest later as it wouldn't be consistent. Humph! Even with the assessment we have to take careful consideration of every little things.

Last night, me and the family went out for sushi and while waiting for our table, we went around nearby shops. At this one sports shop, there was this little boy probably aged 7, dressed as batman, on his own trying a football shoe, oblivious to us and the salesgirl watching him. He even asked the salesgirl if they have shoe sizes for kids. Hehe! However, I was curious as what the young smart boy is doing at that time without adult supervision. Kesian tho the boy.

Do excuse me for my inactive-ness in the next couple of days. In case I'm caught up with work. SiGh! Haha sekali nya it was the total opposite. Erkkkkkkkkkk......

Its hard even to try..........

Mentally Drained.......

I'm on a well deserved break at the moment. The marking shit is driving me insane. Some students are not learning anything are they? Their answer are really getting into my head. How can they not do a simple algebra? ArghhhH!! Minta suapkan kali ke mulut drg atu. Anyway, I'm writing this entry just to relax my mind a bit so enough said about that.

Oh lemme post this two beautiful pictures first.

Kookaburra MB Blizzard

Kookaburra LB Ultralite L.E

A feast for your eyes ;) So which one is more gooood luuuking? Haha! Pick one! Pick a date! Apakan! Blizzard kicks ass but L.E is more unique. The orbs you see in the pic, thats the spirit guarding the sticks. Told you, behantu bah stick ani. That explains my stick craze perfectly. Hahahaha!

My lunch companions and I encountered another road maggot again today. It was a one way street and this woman driver (explains much!!) blocked the parking I wanna take. So I switch on the left signal light to indicate that I wanted the fucking parking space. And you know what she did..she drive forward and reverse and went into the parking space. Bloody bitch! Fine! I'll find other space since I was hungry anyway, then as soon as I drove past her, she drove away. Is she stupid or what? If all she want was to pass, since its a way one street kan, she could easily reverse jua saja tu and let me take the parking. Right? How senseless can she be? Dumb bitch! Its simple logic! Memasak masak handal ya plang kali tu! Haha!

Have hockey training this afternoon but I'm reasoning whether I should go or not. Thing is, I have to finish marking the test paper tonight. I'm left with one question with 3 parts for the evening but then given how crazy the other questions or the students' solution precisely made me its not gonna be easy. How ah! Its a good way to chill myself tho after a hard day at work. Its only for one hour anyway *talks to ownself* Okay, we decided that we'll go.

The male colleague opposites my office is discussing about METEOR GARDEN with another guy. Ehy! Hahahahahaha! Nothing is impossible! :) Btw, I was not eavesdropping, they were talking very clearly. Ears are meant to listen...I can't just put it on mute or whatever it is for ears. Okay, I'm jabbering now. Excuse this manic.

Emotionally possessed.......

Scary Shade of Purple

Arghhh!! There's just so many things to do. I'm nowhere near done with the markings and now I have to sort out the attendance module since I am the coordinator for it. Uwaaaa!! Please help! Who wants to mark the assignments for me? $10 per pile!! Solution provided! Any takers?? :/

Handball was super fantastic yesterday. Came in early, did a little drill on my own. Basically just getting us to gripping and holding the ball. I'm practising with a size 3 ball at the moment so I can have a better grip of the actual ball size for women which is size 2. Anyway, if you compare hockey and handball, you'll say that there's higher probability of one getting injured playing hockey than handball. Well!! WRONG!! for me at least. Every and each handball session, I went home with bruised fingers. First session, it was the base of my thumb followed with a bruised index fingers on the second and now my thumb is battered again. Its always a case of swollen veins and purple skin..don't know why ah! I asked Eyan if veins can explode and she said yes! Erkkk ok thanq for the useful information mate. So on the way home from handball last night I stopped by the kedai runcit and bought a plaster plaster, the brown plaster, not the plaster for cuts. Anyway, I'm gonna plaster my fingers in the next handball session. Hehehe paranoia? Say whatever you like :p

Honestly, I prefer getting hit by a stick on the knee than having bruised fingers. Fingers are so delicate! Okay, but then again maybe its just me and my trauma. My worst nightmare will be papercuts!! Erkkkkk!! There's this one time I went pale and was breathing heavily during a lab session back in uni and the lecturer stopped and he was like 'Are you ok??' and I replied 'Papercuts! I need a plaster' Btw, do english people call plaster a plaster?? Haha anyway, he went in search for one in the huge laboratory and thank Goodness he found one. As soon as I concealed the cut, I was breathing properly again and normalised! Lia was astonished when I told her I have plasters in my wallet in case of emergency. Hehe I have them everywhere to be exact. Hehe! I, myself, don't even understand why I can tolerate heavy bruising and battering but not the little ones.

Hahah! Pumpkin! Its nice I like its shade of white but then I think I wanna buy a good and top range stick for a change. You should be glad! *wink* I wanna get the miniature stick for Afif as well. And maybe some wrist band....hehehe ok tu pumpkin?

My heart feels heavy..................

Hopeless Player

Our journey back to the office after lunch just now was quite an event. Right at the Kiulap 3-Lane roundabout, we saw a lightning that strikes the earth. I incidentally was looking right at its direction when I saw a thick white light striking the earth and instantly turning red probably due to the heat or something. It was a bit scary but somewhat beautiful.

Few seconds after that, a fucking asshole cut his way from the inside lane to exit to the highway towards the airport. We were in the middle lane also going the same direction. It was obviously his fault although he insistently kept his left signal on. Jadi nya...konon nya ia lurus lah tu! Super idiot! Mingster honked him all the way to the highway exit but we stayed behind him as it was raining. And guess what, at the Tungku Junction he kept on braking mcm he's picking a fight with us the fiesty ladies. We took the junction and he honked us back...fucker banar! We retaliated of course by hand gestures whatever lah as long as he knows that we aren't scared of him..not at all. ..what? we are not scaredly cats ok! Grrrrrr!

We were quite perplexed by his reaction of the whole thing tho..he was undoubtedly wrong and he was acting as if we were at fault. We laughed our way back to the office, obviously amazed with the whole thing. Hahaha! Bruneians jua banar! Don't get me wrong, I am a bruneian myself but we have to admit that some of us, like the idiot we unfortunately encountered, are not civilised. There are some factors that make me feel ashamed to be a Bruneian sometimes. Its even sadder because Brunei as a Malay and Islamic country should have an ethical and well-mannered society but some maggots prove otherwise. This is one reason why I am a road-rager myself...only when triggered tho :) Besides I practice the philosophy of 'if you can't stop them, join them!' On a similar note, don't you just hate slow driver who drives on the fast lane. How ignorant can they be? MAJOR IDIOT!! Anyway, is there anyway to change our society to be better? I've talked about this in previous post but still mcm I don't think we'll ever change, unless something very drastic and significant happens.

Thank God for handball this afternoon, I can dispel this anger of mine. Ahhhh! handball..it makes me high just thinking of it. Teheeeeeeee!! By the way, I'm thinking of getting another hockey stick, the Kookaburra Low Bow Ultralite Limited Edition, which is on my wish list but this year alone I've bought 3 hockey sticks already hahahah! So how?? The price is 135 pounds which is about $400 Brunei Dollars. *Uhuks* Poor mum have nothing left to comment about my hockey sticks craze. Even when I introduced Jaimee to the hockey scene few weeks back, a guy team mate was like Ehhh...baru lagi kah? Urmmm yeah! *smile as wide as possible*

News flash - I'm a hockey addict!

And I can't get enough of hockey sticks. Reasons:

  1. I think hockey sticks have their own identity.
  2. Gorgeous sticks make my heart melts.
  3. They call out my name with a seducing voice everytime I look at them.
  4. Excellent ego booster.
  5. The more lawa your stick is the less attention is paid on your skills..hence good for not so handal players.
  6. So people can hate me....hehe!
  7. I'm just weird!

Ehy!! Time is ticking very slowly today. Darn! I'm not getting anywhere with the markings. Errrghhhhh!! Not good!

Take me away, make me fly once in a while..........................

A Million Dreams

A Million Dreams

In my mind I see a million dreams
but not one my soul achieves.

I gaze into your eyes full of paradise
and see its there just for the looking.

I take temptation into my hands
and wonder if it has really been given.

I taste your lips and it teases my hunger
Always leaving me starving for more

With skin against skin my whole self awakens
Escasty takes over and wishes come true

Passions are exchanged and yearnings become lessons
ones that should be learned and learned well

When I crash back into the cell of my own self
I become once again who I was meant to be

A dreamer who has always dreamed
a million dreams that will never be seen

Sunday's Sundae

Turned out I had a great weekend. Great not because of great things..ehy! but I enjoyed my weekend and it was fun. Why? Mainly because we had handball yesterday's afternoon. Hahaha! Sad! u might think! But I don't give a damn! Besides, I had fun hanging out with the usual duo on saturday night as well as sunday noon. Anyway, talking about this handball, a proper course of the game was held yesterday and it runs until tomorrow I think. Too bad we weren't involved as it is the sports' ministry programme. However, Umi did invite me and Mingster to come since the people who are conducting the course are our coaches. But malu eh! Hehehe!

The game session yesterday was more proper as we learn a few rules, so our first game back in Pusat Belia was handball hantam!! Turns out we can dribble as much as we want i.e. unlimited bounce but similar to basketball, we can only dribble once i.e. no doubles. The most exciting part of handball has to be the scoring goals...ermm did I mention this already? I think so..see I kept on emphasising the fun scoring part over and over again cos its just sooooo thrilling!!! There were only a few of us who can make it to yesterday's session and were forced to play the whole court with 4 people in each team. It was very very tiring besides the place was stuffy and hot. The dribbling part surely made the game a bit easier as we can move around and find more space as compare to if-we-can't-dribble-in handball cos it will be boring like netball...Hehehe!

Ohhh! I bought a hand-ball, the ball, for a frigging $35 and it was not even the right size. Its a size bigger and its actually the hand-ball for men. The sizes for men and women's hand-ball are different. I guess I can still se it to practice my grip and holding the ball for scoring. We still find it a bit difficult to grip the ball especially in the scoring part as we need a good grip of the ball so we can throw it harder. How I wish it was me bitten by a spider not Peter Parker. But all this things come with time...and more practice. Practice makes perfect...or permanent! Which ever comes first.

It was Gilbert, my post-graduate lecturer back in UBD, who argued about the statement 'Practice makes perfect'. He said that 'Practice makes permanent' is more appropriate. Why? Given that if one practice the wrong thing, it would be perfect but permanent. Like a playing the piano, one keep on practicing with the wrong key then its not ever going to be perfect. He has his point but I wouldn't say he is entirely true. I'm too lazy to delve deeper in this now so please excuse my lazy self and lemme talk about something else.

What ah?? Hmmm.... *looks at the increasing piles of students' assignments* Tskkkk! I have to go......

I believe in the power of imagination.............................

Mid-Day Fun

Nora's lunch open house invitation today was the last and most belated open house for this year's raya. The open house was also an intended celebration for her birthday which was on the 22nd Nov. It started off like a normal open house invitation, just us talking and eating, though me and Mingster arrived later than the rest. Then Nora's mum and aunt brought out her birthday cake and we sang her the birthday song. As soon as everyone finished eating, we took some photos and right after that, the hostesses told us to take a seat, any seat that we like. We were told that some seats are numbered and whoever got the lucky seats will get a present. We were all excited..all of us..the over 20 years olds and few over 30s, giggling and cheering to the fantastic surprise.

Most of the girls got their present, even Mingster who weren't lucky enough initially *winks* However, I'm sure everyone left with smiles carved on their face. I even told Mingster that even if we were asked to play the musical chair, everyone will surely participate without a doubt. Beneath the strict exterior of the some of us, and cute and rugged for a few *ehem* there lies an inner child still, forever trapped behind our age-consumed anatomy.

Anyway, handball is cancelled again tonight as we couldn't get an available court to play. Hopefully, we will get one tomorrow night as I desperately need to sweat my body off. Urghhh!!

I had the most beautiful dream last night. Huehue! It was so beautiful and I'm hoping, desperately hoping, it will come true. Hehe! God! Please let it come true. THANK YOU for the dream last night. This is my THANK YOU in advance.

So real yet so delusional.................

The First Of Many.....

Friday turned out to be a very very exciting day. Woke up early in the morning for the field trip to KB. Mingster came to pick me up around 7.15 and had breakfast at my place. Nyaman ah? Hehe next time again..u want? So, we kinda left for KB around 8.15 in the morning where we made a 'pit-stop' to pick up some students at the Sungai Basong Park. When we reached our destination, we were quickly ushered inside, briefed and given personal protective equipment, coverall, shoes, helmets, and googles, which is a must before going to the sites. The damn shoes gave me blisters on both feet and the helmet made us look like cartoons characters haha! Anyway, the whole trip was very educating but tiring nonetheless. Someone doozed off in the bus luckily she didn't snore so that was ok. Hahaha :p

In the afternoon, we had a Kirana hen-gathering at Utama Bowling for Yasrino who's getting married soon. She'll be the first Kirana to tie the knot...congrates babe! There was a UBD tournament going on as well but the Kiranas still rocked the place to pieces. Haha apakan! Well, if you know Kirana, you'll know what I meant. It was nice to see the others especially my partner in crime Pengsie. Hanster won the game with her unique way of bowling hehehe..trailed closely by Inamoto in second place. Lymah had an incident with the ball which kinda kill her enthusiasm for bowling yesterday! Hahahaha! We also had fun laughing at the UBDian people cos they do have some unique way of bowling. *Grins*

There was a bomb-scare situation at the airport late in the afternoon, where Hanster's parents were stranded in the plane. There was unattended baggage left in one of the smoking room and they kinda received an anonymous call concerning the package. Luckily, it wasn't a bomb but I think the airport authority needs to step up their security there. There was even a rumour that the baggage were left there since morning. If it was a real bomb...hmm!

Ohhh! There's a handball session again tonight at 9pm. Its kinda late but who cares! I'm so looking forward to it..hopefully no more cancellation ah please ah..PLEASE!! Hahaha kidding.. I heart u babe :p

Make my day.........

A Pledge

Dear Blogger people,

Hai, how are you? I hope your doing well. The reason why I'm writing to you is to ask, when will I be able to blog through my mobile with this beta version? I've got so many to talk about and when I finally get access of a computer all the things I want to say seemed old news and uninteresting. Besides, there's now more to write about and I kinda forgot what to say about them all. So can you please spare a little time helping yours truly? Your help is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Humble Stranger.

Take Me Away........

I have been endlessly entertaining distraught students since I came back from lunch with the girls i.e the higher part-tay people committee. They came in one after another, the talking and explaining is wearing me down. Thank God, they are now gone..I hope! Its almost half past 4 and I don't want to stay back after working hours today helping them. They'll have to wait til saturday. I need a little de-stressing session after this. I wanna go hit some balls...hockey here I come!!

Tomorrow, we are bringing the new students for a field trip to the BLNG plant in KB. I prefer not to do any official work on weekends but I have no choice. Hopefully, its going to be fun. The trip will last til noon anyway and I dragged Mingster along so it should be fine. I have no idea how am I going to wake up early on a Friday morning....Heeee!! I guess I'm tucking in early tonight.

Way the by, what the fuck is wrong with DST man!!!! Its fucking annoying! A small nation of few hundred thousands and still they can't serve that small numbers. If they were to compete in a market such as the UK or even Malaysia I think theirs will be inexistence. Its not all about money, its also service and quality! They are lucky that Telbru offers a different service than them or else I'm sure they are many unsatisfied customers who will be glad to change their service provider. Even now, some people are on 3G, too bad getting a 3G lines also means buying a new and a bit pricy phone. Ayte sister is calling I need to go home.....

Handball Tonight - ABORTED!!

Last night, Mingster msn-ed me that we are going to have a handball session tonight only to be told again this morning that its been cancelled. Why!! Why!!! I was so looking forward to tonight's, even had my schedule for the evening well-arranged. Don't know when the next session's going to be but hopefully its sometime this week. With the hockey league now over, I've got nothing competitive to look forward for. Of course, there's still hockey training but its already a part of my routine so its different. There's no competitiveness and I feel unchallenge except when the hockey league was on, I can look forward for every game where the training session is pumped up with adrenalin just thinking of it. Though, I do love hockey still, the new game however, since I'm a beginner at it, offers a great challenge playing it as there's so much to learn and master. But yeah, even with hockey training there's a different in my level of motivation and I'm always at my most psyched-up mood when there's a game coming. I wonder if its actually the adrenalin that I'm addicted to. Hmmm!

It was raining heavily again last night, I was already in bed half-way to sleeping when it started. Its not just one of those heavy showers, thats child play, last night was HUJAN TEMPARIK!! the lightning and thunder were fucking bad. There was this one lightning that was so bright and shiny! ka-CHING!! and the loud thunder shocked the earth. I can feel the house tremors at its effect and there was a black-out instantly. The thought of one of our cars floating away even crossed my mind. Hehe paranioa! Well, its possible.....heeee!!

Its a painful morning.................

Buzzy Nights

I'm just glad I'm a bit pro-active as compared to this morning, JUST A BIT!!! :) At least I started marking one of the many laboratory reports and I'm already half way through the stack. Its a part of my job that I totally dread this assessment shits both preparing and marking. But you will never fail to see me smile every time I gave them new assignments or tests for that matter..heh heh heh! *evil grins*. Its my revenge for making my life a tad difficult. This student teacher business...they are both making each other's life miserable. At the end of the day, both come as a winner still...I guess. Just my thoughts in the blazing afternoon.

Our humble abode was attacked by a swarm of wasps last night, the whole garage area were savaged by the noisy little terrors and quite a few made into the house. My youngest brother and I, armed with a ridsect and thick magazine in our hands, quickly took up the task to chase and kill the beastly wasps. We managed to kill most of them all..at least the ones in the house are all dead. It was like *spray* and WHACK!!! buuzzz!!! buuuuuuzz! buu....*dead* Luckily, nobody got stung or else. I'm not really sure how dangerous a wasp sting can be. I think if there's no allergic reaction, one can get away with a red nasty bump. But if one is allergic to a bee sting then I guess it can cause some other complications. Will ask the doctors the next time I see them! I remember one old episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S where Monica got stung by a jellyfish and Joey has to pee on the affected area. Wonder if the same can be done to a wasp' sting? Hehehe!!! Help!!! somebody got stung on the face!! Hold on!..*Ziiipppp* Bless......

I feel like dancing.......................

Absent of Mind

I feel the emptiness around me,
the void of nothingness within,
the wanting to need and to feel is killing me,
I'm an error of my own mind.

I wanna make certainty out of this,
It is beyond my will,
I'm trying to recall every seconds,
But it is plagued with confusion.

-End-

Nothing much is happening this morning, most likely it will be this same this afternoon. I've got tons of assignments to assess but my laziness gets the better of me today. I've been nulling in front of the computer all morning except for when I had to go to the IS briefing but you know what I mean. I can't grasp anything at the moment, my mind is simply ineffective.

I want to dissappear into the moments..................

A Tale from the Past

I almost forgot that I have an account with MySpace. Thank goodness I only need my email to log in so that was easy or else, I don't think I'll remember its user ID. I was reading through the stuff I wrote in my blog back then and when reading this one particular entry dated Friday, 31st November 2003, I was immediately absorbed into how I felt at that moment, writing the entry. I remember the fear I had that day for no reason at all. My outcry:

Troubled Me
Today's not a good day for me..been feeling so worried and anxious. This morning right after sahur I was kinda looking out of the window and I saw the cloud around bandar area was like red...and it looked so scary. It was a sign good enuff to tell me that today's gonna be a slow and not so good day. I'm a believer that way. I havent been feeling like myself either...I've been staying in the office the whole morning doing some works trying to ease my disturbed mind. Humph! Mum called this morning..asked me to write a letter and to text the ustaz cos she's got a bad dream last nite which adds more to my anxiousness. Asked wat the dream was but she wont tell..he he he! Other than that...nothing much has been going on..stayed in yesterday..didnt feel like going out. But I'm hoping that I'll go out tonite. At least I can chill with my mates and try to put this feelings aside. I've also realised that life is not as perfect as we want them to be and its not easy as it seems..DOH!! haha but yeah once in a while I need to know that. I have a feeling that for this coming few days my worries will still be there. There's so many factors that contribute to this but its just too messy and everything looks so vague and I don't even know why I'm feeling this way. I'm a paranoid!!! Maybe this is a sports withdrawal syndrome..I dunno!! =/ Its a beautiful day outside...clear blue sky with patches of clouds...tragic I'm feeling this way - End-

This is a reason why I started blogging 'again' so that even if I don't remember a thing, this blog shall be an account of my life. A reminder for me when I've forgotten. A remembrance of the what I used to be, how I felt, of how my life was, a remembrance that among the turbulence of life, I managed to find my own sanctuary.

I'm always misunderstood............

Biggest Fear

While waiting for Amy in the car, Eyan and I had a little conversation. It started when she was telling me something that she had a conversation of "what's your biggest fear" with someone and my curiosity led me to asking, what hers' is? She responded with 'Nda mati dalam iman' which was received with my laugh. Not to ridicule her answer but was somewhat amazed with it. I'd say it is not too thoughtful, its simple and yet there's so much validity and truth in that. I told her I don't know what mine is at the moment, but it used to be loneliness. Again she retorted, saying that well I shouldn't worry much about it since when your dead and in the after life, I'll have companion..meaning the angels. And it goes back to whether you die in iman or not.

All Eyan's remark, means something, like her, she knows, may be, that she's not all that pious and righteous. I, myself, has to agree that I'm still a long way from being a devoted muslim. Then, my deep thought, which was warmed up by then, stated something, that we are taking a gamble with our life. We know, that we are in the lose-lose situation, and yet we are not doing anything much to change that. Hoping that, we will have a long life and have enough time to repent ourselves and get away with it. But we can never know how much we have for sure. So its now a matter of time, will all be a little too late?

The conversation was brought to an end as soon as Amy entered the car. By then, they were talking about medical stuffs and I played a role of an avid listener, occasionally, contributing something into their dialogue. I know few stuffs about medical things too you know, after spending my university days with medic students as my housemates, their pretend patient, and being friends with Eyan and company.

Anyway, we went to Empire to de-stress ourselves driving in the early evening. Its a good relaxing thing and both Eyan and Amy think that golf is an elegant sports. Well, yeah maybe! But for me, its just a way of letting go of all my rage and take in all the peacefulness as much as I can.

Introducing Handball...and Errr Hockey!

HANDBALL is a game of two teams, each team with seven players where these players play ball with their hand, passing, throwing, catching and also dribbling with only their hands, no kicking!! and goals are scored by throwing the ball inside the goal posts. The handball goal posts is similar to a football posts only smaller, about the same dimension to indoor football. The game has two halves, 30 minutes each with a 10 minute break in between. Anyway, full description of the game is available at the International Handball Federation website

I'm arising an issue with myself posting this information about handball as I never did with hockey. Thats not fair I told myself..it is not not fair! Hence....

HOCKEY has been played since a long time ago, similar games were believed to be played back in the roman and greek era. But in modern days, it started as early as 1900's where in 1906, it was first introduced in the Olympics Game. There used to be two hockey federation, one for men and another for female but the two later merged and Fédération Internationale de Hockey sur Gazon was established. Posh ehy the name. Hockey are played on artifical turf which is sprayed with water to make the surface wet. This will enable a better control on the ball and to ensure the ball to roll on the surface. Indoor hockey are played indoor with similar rules and equipments. There is a rumour of the existence of under-water hockey but not sure how true that is.

Hockey is a ball game played with a stick that is controlled by the player to maneuver the ball, only using the flat side of the stick. The other side i.e. back side is a no no in hockey or else you could get yourself a green card just like no.5 did hahahaha. Anyway, there are different skills you can do with just a stick and a ball...seriously banar! Hehehe! There many ways of delivering the ball i.e tap, sweep, slap, hit, flick etc. and there is also different ways of hitting the ball such as the conventional flat side hit, reverse stick and so on. See, hockey is a very interesting game. It is also a thinking game and even after so many years of training you can never master all the skills unless you train every hour every day. Thing is, each player would have a skill that they well-mastered so because of this, one team can have a varieties of skillful players each according to their own position. However, to master these skills, the basic skills are usually affected. A drag flicker for example needed more time of her training on drag flicking than team play. So her basic skills and team play may be affected due to her drag flicking skills. So a drag flick specialist may be weak in basic skills like tackling and dribbling. Hayden Shaw said something about this so I'm not making this up. Haha! Further more, Unlike football where any good kickers can take penalty kicks in hockey, the penalty flick has to be done with certain criteria instead of just hitting the ball in. And to do excel in penalty flick taking, one has to spend many many hours just to be 100% effective in penalty flicks.

Unlike football, it consists of two 35-minutes halves with 15 minutes half time break. The pitch dimension are a few meters smaller than that of football. Two teams, each with 11 players, one goalie and 10 field players, play against each other and the team with most goals win. And yes...nothing is more euphoric that listening to the crisp sound of a ball hitting the backboard. Daym! hockey is a hot game! :)

My imagination is running wild.....................

Lionesses Tamed

The Lionesses adopted an attacking strategy for the final half of their league game on Sunday playing with 6 attacking players upfront as compared to only the usual two. The change in strategy didn't pay off as Belia took advantage of only 4 men defensive line and scored two more goals to make the final score 4 - 0. However, on the attacking perspective, the Lionesses played well pushing Belia's into defensive work and managed to penetrate through their defensive line but again they were denied goals and penalty corners by poor refereeing. Belia's counter attack proved deadly as they took advantage of the Lionesses' offensive strategy. So Belia took the 2nd place while the Lionesses would have to be happy with the bronze. My player(s) of the match has to be No.21 and No.15 hehehehe sharing is caring.

I pulled a muscle on my left sole during the game but the injury is just minor. It didn't affect my running but ironically it does affected the way I walk. Heh! So I'm walking kinda funny today hehe! And last evening right after the game I went home, took a shower and off I go again to meet Eyan and Lia before heading to Pusat Belia. I'm very proud to be one of the first people in Brunei to play HANDBALL!! BEAT THAT!! Handball @ Bola Baling is one of the game played in the Olympics and I've watched the game during the last Olympics. I wanted so much to learn how to play it, Mingster mentioned about it about few months back but we didn't really know how to start. Luckily, Umi was also interested to start the game in Brunei so to make the story short, Umi invited us to play handball last night and we had this guy who teaches us how to play a few of the rules as well. We spend the first hour being briefed and taught how to make passes and score goals. The scoring bit is the most fun part of handball I must say. The ball passes are similar to basketball where dribbling is permitted but only up to 3 dribbles. Anyways, will put few infos about the game maybe this afternoon or tomorrow. Back to the game last night, Mingster was so excited with the game that she decided no to go back early which she planned to..wonder how her lecture go this morning. Tehee! Some of the girls were really good with the passes as they play netball, they have this high, low, side passes etc where my passes are more like basketball one. The ball are smaller than netball, I think its a size one, but its damn harder. The base of my thumb is bruised and swollen and I don't like the sight of it. Its so black! Anyway, even with the swollen thumb I wanted to continue on playing so it was simply that fun!! I'm looking forward to the next session. If you interested you know where to find me....

Impossible What?

Thank God its weekend! At least I have a day or two of mind freedom. Workload is increasing now that its the end of the semester there's so much to settle for the end exam and its marking preparation. We are also running the biennial CIPTA Award 2007 and the first general meeting for all participants is on the 16th December and there's so much to prepare for that one too. Fortunately, the next major event for the competition will be in February so thats ok. I'll definitely take a leave after the 16th but not sure yet. I have to confirm with the Lionesses of our trip to Kota Kinabalu or else I can go escort my aunt to KL. Then again Eyan and Lia wants me to go with them to KL in January. Haiyaaa!

The 2nd half of the game will be held tomorrow. I'm still knackered from last night game and suffering from this headache since last night. Maybe its the rain or maybe its not. I don't know..maybe its the mental strain I've been getting from the game hehehe. So the elite Lionesses is going out tonight to chill and hopefully we can get ourselves pump up for tomorrow. I think its a good thing we are going out tonight so that we can bond and reinforce together for tomorrow. We are already bonded but you know what I mean...get the teamwork together and keep the spirits high. Its the traits of real Lionesses that we will keep on fighting til the final whistle. The name Las Leonas is given to the team because of their persistance to keep on playing the game, ever opposing even when the game seems to be lost just like the respectable team they are named after.

P/S: If your wondering what happen to the font colours. No! No! I haven't lost my mind! Its for the Lionesses!!

Excursions

Excursions

I cannot walk the ancient paths
To smell the mulching tracks
Or hover high, on thermals fly,
Above the tamaracks.
Transfixed by needles evergreen
Where seed filled cones are dropped
A witness to the cycles
That nature's never stopped.

I cannot sail the seven seas
Nor plunge into their depths
To find the unmarked channels
Where currents intercept.
To hear the whales sing secret songs
Or treasure hunt the wrecks
Or see the ghosts that swim about
Their water soaking decks.

I cannot travel to the stars
Nor venture out beyond
To navigate the "holes of black"
Celestial vagabond.
Observing comets fling their tails
And race across the sky
While new stars form, and worlds explode,
And gases liquefy.

But, I can walk down memory's lane
And swim in love's great sea
And taking flight on wings of prayer
Is commonplace for me
And all those things I cannot do
Give me inspiration
To book a seat on frequent flights
Of imagination.

Las Leonas Trails Belia

Things didn't go the Lionesses way last night, though their game has improved since the last one but Belia, unleashing their coach/star player in the final test edged the Lionesses with two goals to none. The Lionesses had few chances themselves but the strikers didn't manage to convert any. The main Lioness culprit would be their own No.8 for not capitalising invaluable chances. In the early stage she blew up a one on one chance with the keeper, thinking that she got time only to be assulted by two opponents.

The Lionesses strikers upfront also had one good chance shared among the trio with both No.21 and No.7 failing to convert the crosses from No.8 after receiving a ball from the midfield and bringing it to the inside of the attacking circle. Lioness No.5 played really well by effectively supplying the strikers with attacking opportunities right from the defending line. The Lionesses defenders did pretty well keeping the opponents away from the attacking circle but the skills and experiences of their coach made the difference in the game, dribbling past three players a few times disintegrating the Lionesses defending line. Towards the end of the first half, the weather has gotten worse and the match was abandoned at half time. The second half of the match will be played sometimes around this week. The Lionesses has a tough hill to climb trailing Belia with 2 goals but they are not giving up yet. The Lionesses are now forced to produce their best performance to end the season in a reputable fashion. Again....watch this space.......... ^_^

Skirving and Aymar Made The Cut..

The WorldHockey All Stars Team 2006 was announced couple of weeks ago. Aymar and Skirving made it to the well respected All Stars Team. Unfortunately, Agustina Garcia from Argentina who I think is the best striker in the world didn't pull off an inspiring performance in the last World Cup which costs her place in the AS Team.

One Final Stage

Students will also do things that make an educator's life difficult. I have been running around all morning talking to my HOD and the registrar concerning some attendance' offenders. Thanfully, I managed to finish preparing the questions for PT2 but I still need to discuss that with Siti. I think the questions are more difficult from what I put in the final exam. Hehehe make them miserable now and make their life a bit easier later.

Totally got whacked up yesterday, tried to stay awake right after I reached home but my eyes were so heavy that it finally gave way. Woke up a few hours later and watched Grey's Anatomy...I'm liking the series even more now. Hahaha My favourite character is definitely Bailey. She's just fucking bad!

I noticed that Amin's msn nick is 'Good Luck Las Leonas!' Hahaha how sweet! Are you trying to get on someone's good side or is that genuine remark? Thank you Min! Semangat ni semangat!! Hehe I'm feeling the heat now. Its do or die! This is our final chance. Don't fuck it up! Don't fuck it up! Hahahaha I'm definitely gonna leave work a little bit early today so I'll have more time training. I need that essential basic skills practice so I can do the less essential but more significant ones. Haha! I'm 100% mentally fit, tho not physically 100% but its all in the mind and I'm roaring ready to bite! Hearghhh!! I'll go out shopping later or maybe tomorrow morning to buy stuffs for my Banana Rockers with extra bananas!!! 21 is pretty nervous with the game and I told her to evolve that fear into strength. We all need some motivation to get us all going at the moment. I had a few doubts myself with how I feel whether this energy I've got going is a positive one or not. But I did pretty well last week and I hope I'll do better this time. At this stage, I'm so mentally prepared I can't think of anything else but the game. There's a thin line between having it genuinely real or being foolish. Undoubtedly, this game will be our toughest and yet the most exhilarating ever.

So I have to keep reminding myself of this game being one last chance cos we have gone a long way since the beginning of the tournament and we have the opportunity to actually upset the whole hockey community in Brunei as a whole. Our opponent has everyone on their back so winning this game means more than all the superficial things we will achieve. If the Lionesses win this game, then they have defy all odds of being a force to recognise after being called the underdog for so many years. There is always something be it unforeseen or deliberate to ravish us but we kept coming back stronger. Hence, this is the best time to shut all those fuckers up and give that gift of a long deserved achievement we all waited for. Go hard or go home! Til tomorrow...we shall see how it goes.

Not the size of the lioness in the fight that matters, but the size of the fight in the lioness.......

Gloomy Day

Logging in to Blogger takes longer now and the advert for blogger in beta kept on popping out. So I assumed its because of this transition between blogger and beta and decided why not! and switched my blog to beta and darn! I can't connect to it through my hp. The beta version offers more though but how can I enjoy all that when I blog most of the time through my hp. Urghhh! Blogger people! CAN YOU HELP ME? :)

I woke up this morning to something unusual, the house was quiet and my youngest brother who always sleeps at the TV room..as he tends to move sometimes in the night was not there. I looked at my frigging watch and it was 6.15am in the morning. Where the hell is everyone. Thinking that maybe they were all off to schools/works already I decided to get back to bed. I was very very sleepy so excuse me if you think I was ignorant. A few minutes later my mum arrived from the mosque and 'woke' me up and said something. I was caught off guard but I guess I wasn't surprised. It turns out to be a long morning and I found myself having thoughts by myself. I can't say much on this but there are some things worth thinking about...

Our afternoon hike is cancelled as most of us can't make it and even if we can, I don't think I will make it to the top of the hill. Haha! I'll push myself more tomorrow to make up the loss exercise time. Teheee!! The duo want to bring me out tonight. Hmmm! I'll think about it...I want to, but after two consecutive events of invitation but unreplied sms from the duo I'm withholding my acceptance for the moment. We'll see tonight if the two make a little more effort to redeem themselves in the next couple of hours.

There's nothing left to say...............

Slipping with Determination

Jaimee impresses me again this afternoon during training. Its easier to play with her than Miss G and Scarlet. Nonetheless, Miss G is the only one that enables me to produce good reverse stick shots and Scarlet is an all around player. Jaimee has the edge to do everything a little bit better except for reverse stick cos she's much lighter. But with the right technique its achievable. Though I still have faith in Miss G and Scarlet but at this point where my game is not at its best I'm settling with Jaimee. I was dribbling wit more ease as compared to the other two and my shots are more powerful. But I still need to practise my basic skills with her just to get use to it. I will dedicate my Thursday's afteroon training session for that. I need to play my best on the last game. I have to score! I need that closure! So no more slacking this coming days mate! Are you with me 21? This is our final chance for glory. Take my hand my friend lets conquer the world on Friday! :p

Slipped during training earlier on. Was positioning myself for a hard slap but lost grip of the turf and slipped! Haha I'm not embarassed about it tho just dissapointment for not making the slap. Good ol' 21 did come to the rescue but I'm not sure whether to help or laugh at me! She did both! Haha ur my friend! :p

Time waits at the end of forever.........

Humble Obligation

Slow learners are one of the reason my job worth doing. There is nothing more stirring than a student coming in with desperation on their face, eyes weary almost translucent with concealed tears seeking for your help. I don't mean to disrespect them at all and don't take it in a bad way. But to realise that I am partly responsible for their knowledge and for whatever they will do after this, I have no choice but more willing to offer my assistance. I remembered the first students' graduation ceremony I attended I was overwhelmed by a sense of triumph though I was new back then. Somehow being a part of a journey of someone's achievement I thought to myself, their accomplishment is my justification both career and as a person. Although sometimes I'm left frustrated and bitter, there are times when I don't want to do anything else but educate.

The morning dignified me.........

Worthiness of a Being........

Most things have change now and little are left the same. It is so obvious and yet some missed it. Or maybe they pretended not to acknowledge it. It doesn't take a smart man to notice that things are not the same anymore. And few who noticed are left trying, they tried and yet they failed! But deep within them they hold the sweet memories but they know, they have to move on. If others didn't care, why should they? Their hope are faded, their soul jaded from trying and trying but if others didn't care, why should they be their fool? If they want to be hypocrites and say nothing has change, then be my guest, live your life as you wish. But don't drag me into the so-called thing that you claimed we still have. Cos my friend! the last time I checked I don't think we even have it to start with.

So wake up my friend, wake up to reality. Stop lying to yourself. Don't drag me into your fucked up web of hypocrisy and pretends. You see, I am an honest person and I can't and will not act as if things are nothing but normal. They are not, they are everything that defines the opposite of normal. I am tired of sharing your tears but not your laughter. I am tired of being a shoulder to lean on. I think I'm tired of being your 'friend'!

On a much lighter note, I think I'm going to start giving people another chance to know me better or me knowing them. At least to certain people who I feel worthy to know more than just my rugged exterior. Haha rugged huh! Dream on mate! Anyway, my reason being is that, in life there's something that you can't just deny and its unbreakable such as blood ties. There are some people whom I know is my cousins but thats it. So if they are making effort of wanting to re-tie the lost and dissappearing bond then why not right? I think this past few days, I'm transforming myself into a better person although not much but the difference is overwhelming. All thats from just being patient and forgiving. And I hope I will continue to be this way.

I stood in front of the reflection of someone else.........

Consumed by the Scorching Heat

I was so occupied this morning that I didn't even have time to breathe. Whot! Hahaha ^_^ The semester is almost over now. I think I delivered the course pretty well as opposed to the last. Oh man! there were so much pressure back then being observed and scrutinised. Anyway, I'm left with tutorials to conduct so that should be ok tho I still have to do my markings. Shmuck!

The distress over my baked face is over now thanks to the miraculous cream I bought last night. Haha! Nur said that maybe my skin were rejuvenating itself hence...I'm still young! Haha I didn't sleep well last night, I was constantly awaken by the sound of the heavy throbbing rain. Wouldn't it be nice if it rain today..the blazing sun is making me sleepy! The lionesses and I are going for an afternoon hike today and I hope the weather will mellow itself at least for me to bear. Uh uh! Have I speak to soon or wat? The weather is turning in, the sky is so blue...and ermm the wind is blowing quite obviously. I hope its not going to rain though or else it will be bye bye to the afternoon exercise. Hehe! Human can never be pleased huh!!

I was once caught in the middle of a fiery storm while on a hike few months back. Never in my life do I run as fast as I did that day. The weather was okay at the start of our hike but it was rapidly changing and decided to turn back and go home. Next minute I know, the wind was furiously blowing and tree branches started to fly all around us. My friends turn around and took a shelter in one of the hut built and I was left alone in the middle of the blizzard. My friends did call for me but I guess I was far ahead to hear them. Haha! I took refuge behind a concrete wall hiding from the falling branches but we made it back safely to our cars. That was one of the scariest moment of my life....but it also has its funny moments :)

I'm just playing your game..................

Masking It Away

My dry face is not getting any better. Even Lia was surprised to see my horrid appearance. She kept asking the did yous? and my answer is a constant no. Tried to dissolve it wit moisturizer for 21's open house visit, but didn't work. In fact, it gotten much worse and itch like crazy. I was restraining myself from scrubbing it throughout d visit. Lia suggested that maybe I was dehydrated but can it be a result of dehydration. Hmm!

So after our afternoon tea, we went to Winmark to find a remedy for my ugly face and found this sort of pharmaceutical cream for the dry skin. I actually have it on now and it seems to work, except for the areas around d eyes and below my lips where the dry flakes are still detectable. Nonetheless, its much better than before and hopefully it will get back to normal tomorrow.

I was listening to my mp3s collection from back then in UK and reunites wit this band called K-Otic. The band was a product of the Netherlands Popstars. Similar to the one in UK with whats the band called? U know d one wit Kim Marsh and where the losers of the show also had a band in the name of Liberty X. Anyway, it was Didi who had their songs playing constantly in her room and I grew fond of it. She was going out with this singaporean guy who resides in the Netherlands and he was responsible for introducing us to K-Otic. Oh and his cashewnut chicken is to die for or from haha cos they were very very hot! I wonder how he is doing now. He is the most genuine and sincerely nice guy I know. Seriously and I'm not exaggerating!! That man has a beautiful soul. God bless him!

I was killing time reading a magazine and came across this article. Its about a research conducted by a Japanese professor on how the shape of women's pubic hair area, yes u read it right, relates to their personality! Its true! I'm not making it up and I'm not being disgusting okay. Just sharing ermm useful information? Where did he get the ideas to do the study from? I wonder how the professor conducted his study as well. Hmm! And you think science is boring!

P/S - Ez! Haha kambing banar! Can't wait to see u babe.

I'm wanting something that I couldn't find................

Midnight Stake

For d past few days my face has been getting really dry especially around my mouth. The areas around d eyes are easily irritated as well. My face is so red it looks as if I've been sunbathing. Hmm Eyan might know whats going on. Will ask her tomorrow.

Currently watching Man Utd playing against Rovers. No goals yet and its starting to agitate me. Ronaldo has to score to keep my points decent this week. None of my players score for dis week's game yet. Anyway, will continue doing my work after dis game, that is if I'm not sleepy. Yay! The semester is almost over, what a relief. Might go to KL during the holiday with Eyan. Hmm yes! I need to run away from all dis madness!

Its amazing how we can't see the obvious sometimes............

A Haunting.....

I still can't get over last night game. All d missed chances are haunting me. No.21 and I are having a post-mortem at d moment. She was curious about my decision on choosing our penalty corner routine. I have to say it was all tactical cos in my mind, that was d simplest routine. And if the opponent marked d intended hit-man in d next penalty corner, it would be easier to use d other routine as it is much trickier. So basically if d opponent marked d first hitman it will leave us wit more space in the D for d next routine. Unfortunately, we only had one penalty corner given. Sorry mates, didn't expect it to be a little controversial. And No.21, no I didn't chose her over you. Ur my friend! :p

Most of us were a bit frustrated for not winning d game. But I guess it a good thing to keep us motivated to play our last game wit much determination. I'm sure it will be a lot tougher as both team will want to win.

I'm yet to prepare my notes for monday's lecture which I'll do tonight. Its not much anyway so I should finish dat latest by tomorrow morning. As for now, I wanna sleep off my guilt.

Sometimes, I acted silly when trying to be wise.............

Las Leonas Tied

It was d best game to date for the Lionesses. The game was controlled evenly by both team. The Lionesses were fired up in d first half pushing up for goals but failed to convert all chances. One of their best chances was when No.8 wasn't marked in the opponent's D, but d attacking midfielder didn't spot her and failed to pass. The opponent's counter attack causes havoc on d other end but they too failed to score. In d second half, it was the opponent's turn to attack but d Lionesses defenders managed to keep them away from d backboard. Exhaustion has taken its toll and some of the key midfielders were subtituted to let them rest before going back in d game. It was towards the last 15 minutes of d final half where the Lionesses were back on their attacking rythm. It was starting to rain but it didn't dampened their spirit wit d defenders also pushing for attack. No.8 again got the best chance of d night when she was one on one against the keeper but failed to convert as the keeper managed to save her low 'which was intended for a high' flick. The Lionesses were pushing up for goals and No.21 also have some good opportunity to upset d opponent. At the end of d day, both defenders foiled all attacks to tie d game. Its a goalless affair but d most exciting nonetheless. Probably, the only dissapoinment is not winning d game. And yours truly is truly sorry for her missed chances. With one game to go against d same team, Las Leonas is at 3rd place sharing points wit Belia at 2nd but losses placing only by goal difference. The Lionesses need to win their last game against Belia to steal the silver medal. So watch this space.

The umpires are big time suckers. They are obviously bias and most of their decision was pro-opponent where it should be the other way around. Then again, this is not new to us. I did shout at one umpire for not blowing d wisel against the opponent for high ball. Instead he awarded them a free hit. How fucked up is that. He ignored my assault at him or otherwise I could have been green carded. Speaking of which, both Lioness No.22 and No.5 were booked for being rough and back sticking respectively. Haha seriously No.5 back sticking?! That was funny as it was obviously intentional and she was smiling as if glad to do that. The captain picked up a muscle cramp with 3 minutes left on d clock. No.21 also had a mild cramp but managed to stay on d game til d end which hindered her game a bit. But its d will, determination and peserverance that counts. I'm so proud of the Lionesses tonight.

My player of the match is Lioness Izan because she did everything right. She was just excellent stealing balls away from the strikers and keeping them off the D.

I'm so tired and my body aches a bit. A full body massage now will be heaven. Excuse me, I'm gonna sleep now.

I need to know your name..........

Hope in Banana Rockers!

Less than 2 hours to go before 'the most anticipated match of all'. I'm trying to get myself mentally ready for tonight. I'm all hyped up since last week but its just pure excitement. I need to transmit dat excitement to feed my mind, get it psyche up, hopefully my physical ability as well. At d moment, I'll say I'm 90% mentally ready but my physical? Hmm lets just hope my new revised energy drink, which is to be known as Banana Rockers! How original!, work dis time. Its gonna be tough today, the opponent never lost to us tho we managed to steal a draw against them last year. Hmm! Will the Lionesses sing tonight?

Had Japanese luncheon wit Eyan today, saw MonMon again for d 2nd time recently. Hmm weird! Anyway, d last time I had sushi was more than a month ago and it never taste as good as it was today. Hahaha apakan? I was craving so dat explains d statement. After lunch, Eyan help me shop for my energy drink ingredients, which is still d same except dat I use apple juice instead of orange and rock melon instead of kiwi. So I'm going sweeter dis week praying for dat extra glucose to do wonders.

I'm listening to 4 Non Blonde - What's Up? to psyche me up. Haha my mates and I used to chill at dis cafe that have live bands every weekends. There's this one singer who cud be mistaken for d 4 Non Blonde singer, voice wise. The first time I heard she sings my mouth were like 'O' haha. Daym, was she cool or wat? I think I had a crush on her. Hahaha! Opps controversial! Well, its not sexual okay just oral! Hahahahaha but seriously man. Her voice amazes me.

All dis obsession with getting it going before game is making me miss playing soccer now. I'd usually turned into a health-energy freak if there's a game coming. Carbs loading d day before and stuffing myself wit water that require visits to the loo every 15 minutes. Us players texting each other to keep our mental all ready. Like once, we had pantuns to motivate us. Haha its not Kirana if its not unique. Damn! We had so much going on back in d days. Remember our trademark the Kirana cheers? Its all gone now, doubt it will be d same again. All thats left is the memories of the Greatness we once were.

It takes one to ruin everything...........

Jaimee Debut

A friend texted me today that her ex is causing trouble again. The ex texted her out of d blue n begin to accuse her of things and even told people lies about her. I was never keen on d both of them together as I always knew dat my fren deserve someone better. Anyway, back to d ex, I wonder wat his problem is. Maybe he's bitter than my fren found someone who is way much better than him. Besides he has no rights on her anyway, and why now? They broke up almost a year ago. He even have d guts to ruin her life now, how shameless is he? Seriously man, he's just so fucked up. Stupid idiot.

Had hockey training today, it was much fun. And I sensed that our game is getting better especially our penalty corners. Our passing are more accurate and we did most of d tactics really well. Jaimee made her debut today. She's pretty smooth and I'm very comfortable wit her. I'm still deciding whether to play her or Scarlet. Hmm! Maybe they both will play. We'll see....Hopefully all dis pain will pay off soon.

I'm very knackered and my joints felt so loose. Haha whot? Maybe its just my muscles relaxing. I'm so looking forward for d match. We've been wanting to play them cos dis one gurl, lets just say, we want to know how good she really is. Maybe not at all. Haha not dat we are confident or anything, d opponent team is strong but its d gurl u see. The way she acted was as if she's d best of them lot but come on man who are u kidding? :)

I'm discussing d penalty corners routine wit 21 at d moment. There's 5 routines now and 21 is having difficulty remembering them, she's just confused especially when they are all similar. Haha! Excuse me, I need my rest.

Pain is temporary, glory last forever........

I Finally Nell It

Both of my hockey shoes have been heavily worn that they are too exhausted. One is torn beyond recognition tho you 'recognise' my toe through it hahaha! The side stitches on the other pair were torn, and it'll be disaster if the sole come off in the middle of my game. So I tagged Dibster along to accompany me on my quest for a replacement....and managed to find one with similar contour and design as my old at a cheap cheap price. Then, we were off for another quest, this time to find Grey's Anatomy Complete Season 2. I know I know.....Season 3 is out and ur on it......so what? Hahaha

Anyway, went everywhere from Kiulap to Gadong and finally to the 'Centre of Pirated DVDs' u know where and found none. Well, they have the original one at Sia and Tang but it costs a frigging $33. So I rather wait..and enjoy the series currently playing on Astro. Dibster and I were browsing at the dvds in kadai kuminis :p when I stumbled upon a treasure I've been seeking for all this while. A NELL dvd! Well, its a '5 in 1' dvd tho but it has NELL in it!! I was like whoaaaa NELL?? Dibs Dibs! Nell Dibs!! Hahaha excited banar. I have been looking for Nell eversince forever...and Dibs knows about it and she was glad to share my happiness. Actually she was laughing at me for being such an excited bunny..over a Nell dvd? Hahaha sad banar!

So for those of you who are still clueless over what Nell is. It is a movie starring Jodie Foster and I first watched it when I was still in high school. So the movie is about this girl who spend all her life living in the woods with her mother...macam Tarzan only that Tarzan is a man and he was raised by monkeys. Anyways, she doesn't speak english but in a language only her and her twin sister can understand. The twin sister died when she was a child but she have this fond memories of them playing on a rock at the lake. Anyway, the mother died and she soon finds herself being intruded by the outside world as she never has any contact with humans except for the mother and sister. It was her journey to a new self discovery.....

I struggle to be inspired.........

Idle

Today is one of those slow and normal days where nothing caught my interest and everything went on mostly unnoticed. I was out with Eyan and Lia last night and Eyan was telling me about this joke, an incident, of a bruneian doctor and an indonesian rape victim. Bruneian doctors mostly, maybe after spending ages in the negeri orang putih, are pretty crap with their malays. Anyway, one fateful day, an indonesian woman was brought in and she claimed that she have been rape. So since this doctor has no other way but to speak standard malay to her, if brunei malay ok lah but since the patient doesn't speak brunei malay the doctor have no choice....and some part of the conversation went as follow:

As the patient claimed endlessly that she was raped, the doctor have to make sure that there were physical contact that correctly defines rape so the doctor said:

Doctor: Kamu mengaku kamu di rogol, tapi adakah batang itu memasuki lubang kamu?

An the patient claimed that she was having her period, after checking, the doctor found the patient not wearing any pad, again she asked:

Doctor: Adakah kamu tadi memakai tuala wanita?

Now, you might not find it funny. But imagine if you were there and listening to this conversation? What would you do?

Anyway, do you notice that Bruneians are used to adapting things especially with language. When we go to KL for example, we can easily speak in standard malay with malaysian slang very very well. And you thought, well thats normal!! Now, if a malaysian tourist were to talk to you in Brunei, you would even speak in malaysian slang right?? So does that mean that we lack identity and ownership of our own self and culture? Why should we adapt, why can others adapt to us? Is our culture less valued even by us? Something to think about huh! I'll leave you with your thoughts.

Its not a simple as you think...............

Quizzical

This week is so the opposite of last. I don't really have deadlines to make except for my lecture stuffs for monday but then I'll manage that..I have my time all planned out...I think! This boredom is killing me.....

Anyway, was surfing around on the net and found this quizzes on Blogthings

All I have to say is......Hahahahaha! Ermmm *thinking* There's many more to try..I'll do it again next time.

The Brighter Days

Had a quite thoughtful afternoon chat with Mingster, as to why our life seems so empty as compared to 3-7 years back...and maybe even more. There is a truth in the saying that our younger days are the best days of our lives. She did say that it was more meaningful than now, and I have to agree with her. I guess back then, we were so young and free and we can be silly and nobody cares about it. But now, there's just so many responsibilities and people are being judgemental about us.

Was it spiderman's Uncle Ben that say 'With great power comes great responsibility' so in our case just replace the greats with ermmm more?? I'm sensing the truth in that now..how many times do you see Pete Parker do things for himself? Barely rarely. There's so much to think of now, so many people to consider, so often where we have to sacrifice! Is age turning us into a sad and bitter person? I can remember more moments of my life back in the younger days that I can of now. I mean sure I achieved few things that I'm proud of, sure I'm earning money and stuffs.......but how can it not be memorable? I'd give anything to go back to my younger days...I was a much better person back then. Maybe that just it...experience can either build or ruin you. I've nothing left to say for the moment......

I wanna fly and chase my share of rainbow in the sky.........................

Indifferent

Nothing to talk about this morning...I'm so relax that I can't think of anything. I'm feeling a void in today, I'm yet to make out what it is. Hmmm! Can't wait for hockey!

You're just a waste of my time...........

In Poppins-Land

It must be pure exhaustion dat causes my '6 hrs afternoon nap'. It was so intense and it felt good to have dat desperate sleepiness. Tho, little Afif woke me up sometimes in the early evening. He did so in d sweetest way, so I wasn't grumpy at all. He kissed me, climb on my facing side as I was sleeping sideways n hugged me. So it was impossible not to wake up and smell his coconut-ty hair. He insisted to watch Mary Poppins which I initially ignored til I heard him helping himself through my dvds to find d lady with d umbrella. So I dragged myself out of bed, plugged d tv and dvd player on and gave him d dvd. He has mastered d skill of taking d disk out of its cover, put it in d player and hit play. And I found myself back in d comfort of my sanctuary, under d blanket, occasionally awaken to Afif singing along the merry tunes. I must be asleep, again, when he left. Poor kid!

So here I am, awake and trying to find an explanation my long deep slumber. Yet, I couldn't understand why. I didn't stay up til late d night before. And I didn't do any tiring activities today. Well, teaching is, but still....... It must be like my sleep 'payday' after a long hard week. Yeah! Maybe dats it. I'll stay up for another hour or so before hitting d sack again.

Stay awake, don't nod and dream..........

Heavenly Weather

The Storm Calms

The darker clouds drift its way to the horizon,
its fiery rage has passed.
The land dampened, leaving all beings in wanting.
They desire the gentle hint of the crisp cold on their skin,
that dispelled the burning heat.
The trees still sway along with the passing breeze,
ever trying to dance along the symphony,
now dying left behind by its conductor.
As the birds surf in the remaining wake of the crossing storm,
the sun breaks its way through the dense clouds.
I step into the light,
forfieting to the restoring warmth.
For now, I'll bask in the moment you left behind,
anticipating your return...............

-End-

The above was written to express my love for the weather today! Aiseyman...express ani wah! It always makes me reminisce of the moments I once lived...and thats not the reason why I love the weather tho. Its so soothing don't you think? A perfect day to do sports too.....and maybe sleep! Hmm! Can't believe Sia cancelled our hockey training once as the weather was just as luring as this one.

One more monday and I'll be free from all the tedious work of preparing for lecture...at least for now. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I can't wait for the semester to end. I wanna enjoy a month plus of stress-less life...just me and my laziness. No knocks on the door, no phone rings and no deadlines!!!!! Eyahhhh! Thats what I like baby!

The weather outside is a poetry in motion......................

All For One

I'm currently at Yati/Adong's open house. Some of d lionesses are here as well. The other guests have left so we are d only one here. The place was packed wit their family members earlier this evening. But now, d place is under the control of Las Leonas. Huahuahua! And we are not leaving anytime soon so u better deal wit it people. Haha apakan!

Amazing Race Asia is gonna premier soon. I wonder if there is any participation from Bruneians. It would be interesting to see how they fare both mentally and physically against d rest of d asians. How do you think they'll do? Btw, can't believe the Kentucky couple escaped elimination for d second time. Haha are they lucky or what?

Had to turn down Eyan's offer for a movie outing this afternoon. I'm not a great fan of thriller/horror movies. Besides, I was reviewing my notes for tomorrow. And you thought ur never gonna hear about it again. Haha! I feel like going out tonight tho. Hmmm or maybe not!

I think I'm gonna diet starting tomorrow til d end of d hockey league at least. The remaining games are going to be d most challenging ever cos victory at this stage will be SWEETEST! Yeah!! I need to work on my fitness. Hopefully I won't be as busy as I was last week. I think I need to go hiking at least once before d next game.

Everyone of us deserve a chance to show our potentials...............

Sunday's Slow

Tho I still have lots of things to deal wit at work, the stress has been greatly reduced. Sometimes I hated my job n yet other times I felt honoured n humbled for being trusted wit dis task.

My fantasy team are not doing well dis weekend. Only 26 points wit only 3 players yet to play. I guess its not my lucky day. Ronaldo is still in top form.

Will try to blog more later. As for now, I wanna enjoyed every moment of today.

I will not wait for you anymore.............

All Worn Out......

Oh man! I was right! Saturday was a very very long day. Had to cancel my early morning class as I had to sort out some examination stuff. Atu pun I didn't have enough time as I have go to d lab half an hour early to prepare for my labs b4 d students came. D session went on well at least it was fun.

Went to Hadi's for lunch then went back to work for d function. Only stayed for like 45 minutes as I need to finish my notes n tutorials for monday which I managed by 5.15. Only becos there's no one left except 4 dis one expat. So that was my main motivation to finish my work. Then went to Lymah's for her open house, met some of d gangs. Its good to see Ames and Z there. Oh its good to catch Asmah Squid there too. Haha! I then continued my solo raya open house quest to Dillah's. Haha I was so determined to make it to dis evening's two open houses. Probably becos I've missed a lot lately.

Anyways, I'm out now hanging out wit d usual two people. Haha I'm so knackered but its saturday night. Besides, after all d hardwork, I need a little de-stressing. Thats all for now folks......I'm to tired to think.

One day, I'm gonna know who you are..............
